38 weeks! We're almost there!

Hey everyone!

Here are a few updated pictures! We are in the home stretch and everything is great! I'm healthy and so is baby! Now it is just time to wait :-) My doctor told me that she will only wait about a week, so we will definitely have a baby by May 21st! I can't believe it! Hopefully, he comes before that! We are still not decided on a name but we are down to just a few :-) We'll let you know as soon as we know :-)

34 weeks and counting!

Well we are almost to the end! We have about 6 more weeks to go :-) We have been very busy! We had a shower at my work on March 18th. It was a lot of fun and we got so many cute things for baby. My mom was here for a visit and some "baby time" for a week. She got to go to the doctors with me and shopping and all sorts of fun baby stuff :-) We had our first childbirth class which was great. We go every Monday for the next 4 weeks. I am looking forward to our next one! Our last doctor visit was great (4-2-09). Baby is doing wonderful! I go again on April 15th and then it is every week! Wow, I can't believe how close we are getting! I also had an appointment on April 3rd to meet our pediatrician. He was great and I am very happy. Well, we have not decided on any names yet but we are down to 10 :-) This has been such a tough decision for us. We might just have to look at his little face when he is born :-) The nursery is all done. We are going to hang a few more things on the wall but other than that, it is complete! I think we are all set with baby necessities with the exception of our monitor which we still need to get. Other than that we are prepared as we will ever be! I thought my little guy was going to be late but now I am thinking he might come early. Maybe because he is always trying to go somewhere and there is no room for him to go :-) Well, I think I covered the last few weeks! We'll blog again soon!

A Quick Update!

Just wanted to write a quick update! I am going to the doctors every 2 weeks now! I can't believe that I am to that point! My last appointment was this Thursday! Everything is great! Heartrate is at it's usual, 140. My blood pressure is good and etc... I am so blessed to have such a noneventful pregnancy :-) My only complaint is a sore back and my huge feet and ankles (which hurt at times!). But, everything is normal and that is all I can ask for! Our little guy loves to lean against my ribs (which can also get sore!) and the doctor told me that was his bottom or his feet :-) His head seems to be at the bottom where it should be! Well that is about it! We'll update in another couple weeks!!

An update!

Well, it is time for an update! I am currently 30 weeks pregnant! Actually, I will be 31 weeks tomorrow! I cannot believe how close we are! I am feeling our little guy everyday! Lots of times I can feel a little body part poking out! It is crazy and also amazing! We have yet to decide on a name! We each wrote our top 10 names on a list and we each can eliminate one every week. So, we are down to 18 on the list! On Sunday we will eliminate 2 more! The plan is to have a couple names for when the baby is born and hopefully when we see him, the name will come to us :-)

Well I am going to the doctor every 2 weeks now! My last visit was March 5th and everything was great! Doc seems to think I am doing just fine! That is always good news! We had a great heart rate of 140. It seems to always be right around that number. The doctor was not sure how the baby was positioned in my belly but if she "had to guess", she would say he was breach. But no worries, plenty of time to turn I was told :-) I had an appointment on the 6th to meet a pediatrician that I have heard great things about, but unfortunately, I got a flat tire and could not make the appointment :-( Thanks to my brother for coming to the rescue! And I was able to reschedule for early April. So, it all worked out :-)

On March 7th we had a great couples shower at Dave and Charissa's house! Thank you Charissa, Michelle and Michele! You girls are the best! We had so much fun and it was great to see all of our friends and some of their new little ones! Of course the party turned into corn hole and rock band, but I am not surprised! Thanks again to everyone! We appreciate everything!

Well, my next visit is next week already! I go again on March 19th. I have no complaints with the exception of a sore back and swollen feet that started right around my last appointment (3-5). It stinks because none of my shoes fit :-( I really didn't want to have to buy new ones but I think we might have to make a trip this weekend! Speaking of that, I better get off the computer and put my feet up :-) I'll update again soon!

Hi everyone! Here is a picture of the start of our nursery! Here is also a couple pictures of me at 27 weeks! Not too much longer to go. I can't believe it! We had a great visit with the doctor on February 13th. Baby and myself are doing great! So far so good! We are going back on March 5th and then we will be visiting the doctor every 2 weeks. I can't believe we are already to that point. Well we are consistently working on the nursery. A little bit at a time. We are all signed up for a childbirth class (it's 5 weeks long!) and we are taking a tour of the labor and delivery ward at the hospital next week. We need to make an appointment with some pediatricians soon and make a decision on that. I have some good recommendations so it should be a smooth process! We are really looking forward to our NC shower on March 7th. This is our 3rd shower! We are so blessed and so appreciative! It will be a lot of fun. We are really looking forward to it. It is also a couples shower so Curt can be apart of this one. Well that is about it for now. I'll update y'all after the next appointment and shower! Love ya!

Our Second Shower, 1-24-09

Hey everyone!

Well here are a couple pictures from our 2nd baby shower! It was 1-24-09 at St. John's in Plymouth, Michigan. Mom put this one on for us. It was so great to see all of our friends and family! We received so many GREAT gifts! We are slowly going through everything. We started getting our room cleaned out and we will be working on the nursery pretty much every weekend from now on. Soon we will be getting our furniture and the rest of our bedding/decor. Then we can really start putting things away and start to get organized. I already plan on spending my spring break washing all the clothes and cleaning! If anyone wants to come over and scrub, you are more than welcome :-) At the shower I was 24 weeks. We're getting there! I am feeling the baby move on a daily basis. It is not all day long but definitely a few times during the day. Curt finally felt and saw my tummy move. It's fun to imagine him moving around and hanging out in my tummy. We have an appointment on Feb. 13th. Pretty soon my appointments will be more regular, as opposed to every month. Well, that is it for now. We had a great shower and we are extremely blessed to have all of of friends and family. Thank you everyone for your generous gifts :-)

Our January Appointment

Hey everyone!
We had another appointment today! I am exactly 23 weeks! Everything went GREAT! I looked at the scale and I think I gained like 6 or so pounds since the last time. I can't remember what I started at but I think I am up like 14 pounds! I think it is mostly in my belly so far...I hope :-) We listened to the heartbeat and it was 140 today. The nurse said the baby was doing summersaults because she could hear him moving around! You could hear bumps in between the sound of the heartbeat and she said that it was the baby moving! I couldn't feel it but he was rockin out! I told the doctor that I think I was feeling the baby from time to time but wasn't sure. He said not to worry! He said he was doing just fine in there. He then layed me back down on my back and started pushing (kinda hard, I was surprised!) on my belly! He proceeded to tell me that you could get the baby moving sometimes! He said when he was pushing on my belly that he felt the baby move 2 times! I couldn't feel a thing but the doctor felt our little guy through my belly so he is doing just fine! I was measured today and I didn't realize that they measure up and down on your belly. I thought they would measure from side to side. But I measured 25 inches and he said that was perfect. Just a tiny bit above actually. They also did the normal checks, blood pressure and etc...everything was great! I was sort of worried about my circulation in my legs because my left foot always feels like I need to shake it awake, but of course my doctor said to quit worrying and that it was completely normal :-) I also mentioned that I was having a hard time sleeping on my side and he said to go ahead and sleep anyway that makes me comfortable! That was good news because I was sore all day today from trying to stay on my side all night! Yippie I can sleep on my back and not squish the baby! I'm still going to shoot for the side but if I need to go on my back for a little while, I'll be ok. Well our next appointment is Feb. 13th. I had to make this one in the morning because I have to fast the night before and drink this fun looking drink. It is to check blood sugar and stuff. He said it is something they do for everyone :-) So, it was a great appointment! I really really like this doctor. Our next appointment though we are going back to our original doctor, who is also great. She is back from maternity leave. Well, until next time! Talk to you all later!!!
Deb, Curt, Bela, and Baby Boy!

Hi everyone! Sorry this is so late! We have been very busy! Well we had an appointment on December 19th and IT'S A BOY!!!! We are very excited to finally know what we are having. Now we can start calling the baby, "him". We are thinking about names and the nursery. It is a lot of fun. Everything looked great at the appointment. His heartrate was 146 I believe. Everything appeared normal! We also got some great ultrasound pictures! After the appointment we headed for Michigan. It was fun to be in Michigan for Christmas and share the news with all of our family! We even had our first shower, thanks to Aunt Tammy. Here are some pictures of me at the shower. The belly is definitely there! The top ultrasound picture is a great profile of "baby boy". I think he has Curt's nose and my mouth :-) The middle one shows the "boy parts" :-) and the last one is our little guy giving mommy the rock and roll sign! He is a rocker already, just like mommy! Dad thought that was pretty funny! We go back to the doctor on January 16th. We'll have another update soon!
